Press Release: U.S. Delivers Advanced Night Vision Equipment to Estonia

From June 15-16, the United States delivered 95 night vision devices (NVDs) to Estonia’s Police and Border Guard Board to assist with border security. This was one of the largest U.S. deliveries of defense equipment, and the first ever delivery of NVDs, to Estonia’s Ministry of Interior.
The shipment will continue to build upon Estonia’s border surveillance capabilities and further strengthens our nations’ strategic integration while ensuring interoperability among NATO Allies and partners. Purchased using U.S. funds, this equipment procurement is part of the on-going bilateral security cooperation between the United States and Estonia.
The United States has provided Estonia with over $190 million in joint defense cooperation since 2015, and takes part in 80 military-to-military engagements between our service members each year.
