United States Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) is visiting Estonia from May 25th to 28th to meet with Estonian leaders, including Prime Minister Kaja Kallas, Minister of Foreign Affairs Margus Tsahkna, and Minister of Defense Hanno Pevkur. During his meetings in Tallinn, Senator Booker highlighted the important partnership between the United States and Estonia and noted the United States’ strong bipartisan support for Ukraine and efforts to hold Russia accountable for its unjustified war.
“Estonia is a great friend and ally,” Senator Booker said. “Speaking with Estonian leaders this week, I am confident that we will continue our close partnership as we work to assist Ukraine, hold Russia accountable, and stand up in support of freedom and democracy around the world.”
During his trip, Senator Booker also traveled to Tapa where he visited U.S. military servicemembers currently deployed to Estonia, thanking them for their service and commitment to protect our shared security. In Tallinn, the Senator also spoke with local high school student leaders, and visited the e-Estonia briefing center.
U.S. Senator Cory Booker has represented the state of New Jersey since 2013. He is a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, the Judiciary Committee, the Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry, and the Small Business Committee.
