U.S. Congressional Delegation led by Senator John McCain to Visit Estonia

A delegation of U.S. Senators led by Senator John McCain, Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, will visit Estonia December 27- 28.
The delegation will include Senator John McCain (R-AZ), Senator Lindsay Graham (R-SC) and Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN).  The delegation will meet President Kersti Kaljulaid, Prime Minister Jüri Ratas and other officials to discuss regional security and NATO plans in Estonia.  Commander-in-Chief of the Estonian Defense Forces, Lieutenant General Riho Terras will award Senator John McCain the Cross of Merit of Estonian Defense Forces for his significant contribution in strengthening the defense and security of Estonia.

This visit is part of a larger regional trip, which will also include stops in Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Georgia, and Montenegro.

On Tuesday, December 27 at 12:00 there will be a press conference at Stenbock House with Senator McCain and Prime Minister Jüri Ratas. All press interested in attending the press conference should register by 9 a.m. on December 27th to press@riik.ee and be at Stenbock House by 11:45 with their ID. There will also be a photo spray opportunity for cameramen and photographers upon the delegations arrival. Press interested in taking photos should be at the site by 11:00 at the latest.
